Ramadhan Speech

In the Name of Almighty Allah the Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Assalamualaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu
Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil 'Aalameen was-Salaatuwas-Salaamu 'alaa Ashrafil Anbiyaa'e wal Mursaleen.
Allah-hummah Barik lana fie Rajab wa Sha'baan Wa Baliegna Ramadan
"Oo see kum Ibad'allah Bi Taqwa'llah"

Wa Ba'd:
1 Oh, my brothers and sisters in Islam, this evening we welcome Ramadhan Al-Mubarak once again. Ramadhan is the holy month whereby the Holy Quran was sent down by Allah to mankind through Muhammed S.A.W. This day, all the Satan has been locked up therefore, we, as Muslims can perform ALL of our ibadah(prayers) in peace and we should make full use of this month for the Prophet Of Allah S.A.W has said:
"I only curse 3 types of people; Rasulullah S.A.W. said, "I only curse 3 types of people;
a. Those people who do not look after their parents when they are in old age.
b. Those people who do not take full advantage of the blessed month of Ramadhan.
c. Those people who don not say, 'Salallahu -Alayhay- -Wa-Aalahay Wasallam' when my name is mentioned."

Think about it, how many of us have been cursed by Allah's messenger.

2 My siblings, this Ramadhan should be better than the previous one and it should be our best for we know not if we are going to see Ramadhan again next year. If we see this month again, it should be better the previous years'. Follow the Prophet S.A.W's way of doing things and respect your elders and treat them the way they deserved. Show sympathy for the poor and needy and help them in all the ways you can. Make this the best time for you to strike off your evil attitudes and improve for the better. Do things that will give you Hasanah such as what Allah's Servant, Umar Farooq, has suggested:

a. Give a copy of Quran to someone and each time they read from it,you
will gain hasanaat .
b. Donate a wheel chair to a hospital and each time a sick person uses
it, you will gain hasanaat.
c. Participate in the building of a mosque.
d. Help in educating a child.
e. Teach someone to recite a dua. With each recitation, you will gain
hasanaat.
f. Share a dua or Quran CD.
g. Share constructive reading material with someone.
h. Place a water
cooler in a public place.
i. Plant a tree. Each time any person or an animal sits under its
shade or eats from the tree, you will gain hasanaat.

Do remember to pay Zakah (Give Alms) for the heads of families and for those receiving it praise Allah and never forget him.

3 Also, never forget to say your intentions (niat) the night before you fast or you can choose to niat for the whole month to be safe. The fast of the next day will not be accepted if you do not niat.

4 Ramadhan is also a good time to do all your Sunah(non-mandatory) prayers as all sinners will be given 7 times the usual rate. Prayers in Ramadhan including the sunnahs are Fardhu Maghrib, Sunnah Ba'diyah Maghrib, Sunnah Qabliyah Ishak, Fardu Ishak, Sunnah Ba'diyah Ishak, Sunnah Tahajjud, Sunnah Fajr, Fardhu Fajr, Sunnah Dhuha, Sunnah Qabliyah Zohr, Fardhu Zohr, Sunnah Ba'diyah Zohr, Sunnah Asr, Fardhu Asr. There, your day ends. Also, do not forget your Sadaqah(donations), Quran recitement, Witir(late night sunnah prayers) and also Tarawih(long prayers after Ishak conducted by mosques although can be done alone)

5 May this be the best Ramadhan you ever had and may Allah bless you.
